House Releases Plan to Avoid Gov Shutdown: "Ladder CR"
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., decided to go with a continuing resolution (CR) that has two steps dubbed a "laddered CR" which would have two short term bills effective until January 19 and February 2.
