Tik Tok CEO Shou Zi Chew evaded a direct question from Rep. Dan Crenshaw on whether Tik Tok would be forced to hand over data to China, and thus the CCP, if they demanded user information. Citing a 2017 law implemented in China, all companies would need to hand over data if directed. Chew evaded the answer each time.
